In my loneliness,
I drown in the crowd;
In my silence,
I vanish in the busy chattering.
Walls resounding,
As caffeine-flavored air
Hovers rich,
Above me.
Inside the thickness of the room,
I sit still;
Unfamiliar faces,
With voices
Rising and falling,
In unison.
And I,
I’m invisible.
